WALKING THE TALK! in 2009 MICJ organized and co-sponsored a dialogue regarding the barriers facing released offenders.    

On valentine's day, February 14, 2009, NYSMICJ hosted and faciliated a workshop during the annual NYS Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislative Caucus's annual Legislative Conference.    

NYSDOCS Commissioner, Brian Fischer, and other agency executives joined MICJ's efforts to promote a dialogue with elected State Representatives regarding partnerships and interagency strategies to enable offenders upon reenty. SEE Commissioner Fischer's comments at http://docs.state.ny.us.
